Cropping with Splashup

Cropping an image is important when you only need one section of the photo.

Basic Cropping

After you've opened the image that you would like to crop, click on the Crop Tool in the toolbar.

Once you have the Crop Tool selected, bring your cursor over to your image, and place it where you want the corner of the crop to begin. Click and drag so that the section of your image that you want to crop is within the dotted line boundaries. You can release your mouse button when you think you have it right. With Splashup, it will automatically crop the image when you release the mouse button, so you can't change it unless you click Edit-->Undo, and start over.

In the Info box, while you're cropping you will see the the numbers change in the boxes next to W and H. Those refer to width and height, and are measured in pixels. So if you need to crop a section that is 200 x 300 pixels, just be sure that those numbers appear in the W and H boxes. It's a little tricky to get it exactly right though.
